Panasonic has just officially announced the new Panasonic LUMIX S 50mm f/1.8 lens. It is a prime lens for the full L-mount system developed in partnership with Leica and Sigma. This new lens is weather-sealed and freeze proof to -10°C/+14°F. It is the same size as several other Panasonic F1.8 primes, making it easy to switch lenses without having to recalibrate a gimbal, for example.

Along with the new Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5 II (Amazon /B&H/ Adorama), Panasonic also announced the development of Panasonic Lumix DC-GH6. It will allow for 10-bit 4:2:2 DCI 4K/60p capture, with no recording time limits. It also can also record 10-bit 5.7K/60p footage, though we suspect it might be 4:2:0. Both high frame rate (10-bit 4K/120p) and slow & quick modes are also available, meaning audio recording is possible with 120p footage.
