There is some talking about the EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM lens these days. It is said Canon is developing the new EF 800mm f/5.6L IS II USM Super Telephoto Lens.
There will be a weight saving on 800mm IS II lens. There is still no mention about the release date, or if the EF 200 f/2L IS is also on the replacement cycle. If you remember, the 200mm launched with the 800mm back in January 2008.
