Five new Canon lenses are coming! According to CR, Canon will announce five new lenses on October 30th, 2024.
We can confidently announce that three new lenses are on the way:
- Canon RF 24mm f/1.4L VCM
- Canon RF 50mm f/1.4L VCM
- Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Z
In addition, we have confirmation that two more lenses will be launching on the same day.
One is likely to be Canon RF-S 7.8mm f/4 STM Dual Lens, designed for capturing spatial video and compatible with the Apple Vision Pro when used with Canon EOS R7.
As for the fifth lens, its specifications remain uncertain. However, I strongly suspect it will be a substantial white zoom lens. I’ve received various subtly different insights about this lens, leading me to believe it could be a variation of the much-anticipated RF 200-500mm f/4L IS USM. For now, I won’t share the conflicting details to avoid confusion.
The wait won’t be long, and more updates are on the horizon soon! Stay tuned for further announcements.
