According to recently rumors from CR, the replacement of currently Canon EOS 5DS and 5DS R will be coming in late 2017.
According to the source, EOS 5DS/R Mark II will be only one camera, to replace both EOS 5DS and 5DS R. The EOS 5DS/R Mark II will have a new sensor, though resolution wasn’t mentioned. It will also have some features that is in recently released EOS 5D Mark IV.
