According to recent rumors from NR, the rumored Nikon new full frame DSLR camera to be announced at Photokina will be an action camera.
This new DSLR will not replace the current Nikon D610. Instead, it will be marked as an “action” camera, probably with higher fps than D610/D810, and improved video recording capabilities.

Another plastic proconsumer fx the price of a pro camera. Unfortunatelly cannot afford the D810
The D810 is overpriced and lacks 4K in my opinion. And I can’t see the problem in why the D610 can’t be a magnesium body, even the Microsoft Surface tablets for £300 comes in a magnesium body! Nikon is not giving a lot of camera for your money IMO.
