Canon’s next full frame DSLR this Fall – 7D Mark II ?

7d mark ii

September, 2012, at Photokina, there maybe a new “entry level” full frame camera being added to the Canon lineup, said Canonrumors. And this new full frame camera will probably be Canon EOS 7D Mark II ( the successors of 7D). The specs for the camera have been quite broad, which is normal when there are various prototypes out and about. Below are the most talked about specifications, and probably the closest to the actual camera.

Specifications
  • 22mp (Same sensor as 5D3)
  • 19 AF Points
  • 4fps
  • ISO 100-51200
  • 3″ LCD
  • Smaller than the 5D Mark II
  • More Plastic than metal in the construction
  • Pop-Up Flash (On at least one prototype)
  • $1999 USD at launch
  • Launched with a new non-L full frame kit lens (Undisclosed what the lens is)
  • Compatible with full frame STM lenses

  1. Have 7D and would love to see this become a full blown reality as I really like the camera but need to move up to full frame. Very interesting indeed, indeed it is. I shall follow you closely.

  2. But why would we want 4fps to drop from 8fps. Why make a camera like this when you have the 5DII?

  3. Looking forward to the 5D Mk IIII with the same sensor as the D3. This will be history repeating itself as the 5D MkII did with 1DS MkIII.
