According to CR, the new compact camera Canon PowerShot G17 will be announced in Spring, 2015, The announcement date hasn’t set yet, it will coming before July, 2015.

Canon PowerShot G17 to be Announced in May, 2014 ?
According to CR, the successor of G16 Canon PowerShot G17 is to be announced soon, it may coming as early as in May, 2014. The G16 was release last August in 2013. G16 was a very minor refresh from the G15.
