Olympus E-M1 Mark II Development Announced ! (18fps in Raw)

As Panasonic announced the development of GH5, Olympus also announced the development of E-M1 Mark II. The 20MP camera is able to shoot at up to 18 fps in Raw, with autofocus or 60 fps at full-res Raw if you don’t need autofocus. E-M1 Mark II has 121 cross-type AF on-sensor phase detection points, spread over a wider area than its predecessor. It also has a new algorithm that should be better at tracking. The camera can also shoot 4K video, including the wider aspect ratio ‘DCI’ Cinema 4K at up to 236mbps. A revised EVF runs at 120fps with a reaction time of 6ms. Dual UHS-II SD slots.

Fujifilm GFX 50S Medium Format Mirrorless Camera Development Announced !

Fujifilm has finally announced the development of new medium format mirrorless camera: Fujifilm GFX 50S Medium Format. The camera is built around a new ‘G mount’ that will include zoom as well as prime lenses. Features a 51.4MP CMOS sensor and X-Processor Pro imaging processor. In terms of surface area, the sensor is 43.8 × 32.9mm or about 4 times the size of sensors used in the company’s APS-C cameras (and 1.7x larger than a full-frame sensor.)

All these new Sigma lenses will be shipping in October, 2016. The price for Sigma 12-24mm f/4 Art lens is $1,599, the price for Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens is $1,199, the price for Sigma 500mm f/4 Sports lens is $5,999.00.

Sony a99 II Officially Announced ! (42MP, 12fps, $3,198)

Sony has announced the a99 II, a 42MP A mount SLT camera to mark the tenth anniversary of the alpha series. It features 5-axis image stabilization and 4K photo with no pixel binning. The US price will be $3,198, shipping in November. B&H Photo Video has already listed a99II on their website.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH5 Development Announced: 4K/60p

Panasonic today has officially announced the development of Lumix DMC-GH5 4K mirrorless camera, GH5 will offer 4K/60p capability for the first time in a consumer ILC, and will provide 4:2:2 10-bit 4K video. The GH5 will also provide a 6K Photo mode that will extract 18MP stills from burst footage, or 8MP stills from 60p 4K clips. Panasonic credits advances in processing and heat dissipation for the improvements. Price and release date is not available yet, stay tuned for more info.
