Sigma has stopped teasing and started selling. The 85mm F1.2 DG | Art is out of development and on the price list: $1,599 in the United States, Sony E-mount and L-Mount, from authorized dealers beginning October 6, 2026. You can pre-order at B&H Photo Video.

That finishes the job Sigma set in February. The 85mm now sits next to the 35mm F1.2 DG II | Art and the 50mm F1.2 DG DN | Art as the medium-telephoto leg of a three-lens F1.2 Art set. Dual HLA autofocus, a 13-blade diaphragm, and a claimed class-smallest 905g body are the hardware pitch. We covered the development announcement and early B&H listing in February; this is the full spec sheet and the street date.

Nikon Is Developing Nine NIKKOR Z CINEMA T1.9 VV Lenses, Starting With a 50mm That Covers RED’s VV Sensor

Nikon posted a development notice for a nine-lens NIKKOR Z CINEMA T1.9 VV series, naming a 50mm and claiming the first NIKKOR image circle large enough for RED’s V-RAPTOR [X] VV sensor. No prices or ship date.

Nikon Inc. has posted a development notice, not a ship date. The company is building a NIKKOR Z CINEMA T1.9 VV series of nine cinema lenses, and the only focal length named so far is the NIKKOR Z CINEMA 50mm T1.9 VV.

The headline is the coverage circle. Nikon says this will be the first NIKKOR series with an image circle large enough for the RED V-RAPTOR [X] VV sensor — 40.96 × 21.60mm, which is wider than a 36 × 24mm full-frame chip. The lenses will also have a “highly precise” autofocus mechanism. Price, the other eight focal lengths, and availability are not in the notice. Specs and release dates are listed as subject to change.

Sony’s 400mm f/4.5 GM, 600mm f/6.3 GM, and 8-14mm Fisheye G Set for September 8, With Leaked US and Euro Prices

Sony Alpha Rumors dates the FE 400mm f/4.5 GM OSS, 600mm f/6.3 GM OSS, and 8-14mm f/3.5 G to September 8 around 3 p.m. London time, and adds leaked euro prices next to the earlier U.S. figures.

Sony Alpha Rumors says a trusted source has now locked the date: the three new FE lenses — FE 400mm f/4.5 GM OSS, FE 600mm f/6.3 GM OSS, and the FE 8-14mm f/3.5 Fisheye G — will be announced on September 8 around 3 p.m. London time. A follow-up leak adds European street-style prices next to the earlier U.S. dollar figures.

This is still a rumor, not a Sony press release. No optical formula, autofocus type, or weather-sealing claim has been shown for the two primes. Treat the numbers below as the leak, not a spec sheet.

Sony FE 8-14mm f/3.5 Fisheye G Leak: First Photos of a Native FE Fisheye Zoom

Sony Alpha Rumors posted the first leaked photos of an FE 8-14mm F3.5 Fisheye G zoom — G series, not GM, with an aperture ring and a September rumor window.

Sony Alpha Rumors has posted the first leaked photos of a new FE 8-14mm F3.5 Fisheye G zoom. The product graphic is labeled exactly that way — full-frame E-mount, constant f/3.5, G series, and explicitly a fisheye. If it ships as shown, it would be Sony’s first native FE fisheye zoom. The only first-party option today is still the 16mm fisheye converter that screws onto the FE 28mm f/2.

Canon EOS R8 Mark II Leak Adds 7.5-Stop IBIS, No Mechanical Shutter, and 3D-from-2D Video

Canon EOS R8 Mark II Mockup

Canon Rumors has posted the fullest EOS R8 Mark II spec sheet yet — still a leak, still aimed at a September 15, 2026 New York announcement. The new list goes well past the IBIS / 24MP / about $1,800 briefing from late August: 7.5 stops of IBIS, no mechanical shutter, 20fps pre-shooting, and a software trick that would build 3D video from 2D footage.

Fujifilm XF 400mm f/4.5 Completes the X-Mount Super-Tele Prime Trio, Priced $3,199.95

Fujifilm has filled the gap between its 200mm f/2 and 500mm f/5.6 X-mount primes. The new FUJINON XF400mmF4.5 R LM OIS WR is a 400mm super-telephoto (609mm equivalent on APS-C) aimed at birds, motorsports, and aircraft — the same sports-and-wildlife brief DPReview and B&H Explora use for the launch. Fujifilm says the 200 / 400 / 500mm set now covers about 305mm to 762mm in full-frame terms.

U.S. list price is $3,199.95 ($3,899.99 in Canada). Fujifilm says the lens will be available mid-September 2026. You can pre-order now at B&H Photo Video.

Nikon Files a Third Unreleased Camera in China: N2528 Joins N2324 and N2527

Nikon has put a third unannounced camera through China’s wireless paperwork.
Nikon Rumors says the new internal code is N2528, logged as CMIIT ID 26J99NA7E003 with an issue date of August 24, 2026. That sits next to two April filings that still have not become products: N2324 (April 7) and N2527 (April 24).

A radio certificate is not a launch, and it is not a model name. It does mean three Nikon bodies are far enough along to need Chinese Wi-Fi and Bluetooth approval at the same time.

Canon’s Higher-End PowerShot Won’t Be a G7 X Mark IV, Says Latest Leak

Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III
Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III — the camera fans keep expecting a sequel to. The latest leak says not to.

If you have been waiting for a PowerShot G7 X Mark IV, the newest Canon Rumors note is a cold splash. The site’s sources now say Canon’s next higher-end PowerShot will be a “departure” from the G7 X Mark III, and that you should not expect something that looks or behaves like the G7 series in a lot of ways.

That is a sharper claim than the spring talk of a G7X successor with “new technology” and a three-model PowerShot comeback. Those reports still matter as background. This update is about the premium compact specifically: it is not being drawn as a refreshed G7 X III.

Leica Summicron-M 66mm f/2 Brings a Never-Sold Navy Spy Lens to the M System, Priced $10,900

Leica Summicron-M 66 f/2 — Classic Line, limited to 660
Leica Summicron-M 66 f/2 — Classic Line, limited to 660

Leica has put a 66mm M lens on sale for the first time. The Summicron-M 66 f/2 is a Classic Line reinterpretation of the late-1960s Elcan 66mm f/2, a compact high-resolution optic Dr. Walter Mandler designed at Ernst Leitz Canada for a classified U.S. Navy reconnaissance contract. About 200 originals were made for official use; they were never a catalog item. DPReview puts that history in the headline: this is a tribute to a military lens M shooters have never been able to buy.

The new lens is already available from Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store, and authorized dealers. The U.S. price is $10,900; Leica’s European press release lists €9,850 including VAT. Production is capped at 660 numbered examples worldwide.

Ricoh GR IVx — development images from Ricoh Imaging

Ricoh Imaging has confirmed the next GR is already in the works: the RICOH GR IVx, a 40mm-equivalent companion to last year’s 28mm GR IV. The August 27, 2026 Tokyo development announcement includes a full specification table “as of the announcement of development,” which usually means the camera is well along — even though Ricoh only commits to a launch in winter 2026 or later and has not named a price.
