I'm looking to purchase my first serious camera mainly for shooting high quality videos. As an aspiring filmmaker, video performance is my top priority but I also want to take great still photos. After some research, Nikon cameras seem to fit my needs but I'm open to suggestions.
I have a budget of around $2,000 for the camera body and lenses. Key things I'm looking for are:
- Sharp, detailed 4K video at 60 fps
- Good low light/high ISO performance
- Flip out fully articulating LCD screen
- Decent autofocus in video mode
- Clean HDMI out to external recorder
- Headphone jack for audio monitoring
- Full frame or DX sensor
From the Nikon lineup, I've looked at the Z6II and Z7II but wanted to check if there are better options I should consider. Or would you recommend switching to Canon or Sony ecosystems for my video requirements? Appreciate any advice!
