Canon has just officially announced the new Canon Speedlite EL-1 (Version 2).  It is an on-camera E-TTL / E-TTL II-compatible flash characterized by its flexibility to suit a variety of lighting needs.

This new flash cost $1,349, first available for pre-order at B&H/ Adorama.
