The Canon EOS 7D Mark II is rumored to be announced on September 5, 2014. Here is a new specs list of EOS 7D Mark II.
New Specs List of 7D Mark II:
- Full metal body (EOS-1 build quality)
- EOS-1 style top plate
- New sensor technology (multi layer)
- No Wifi built-in
- Not touch screen, super durable LCD cover
- 12fps shooting (or faster)
- Dual Pixel AF
- New AF system
If these specs is true, 7D Mark II would be a great DSLR for people who are waiting for.

WOW, very great specs, I hope 12 fps is true
12 fps can be true, a crop camera can be speedier than that, I suspect it will have the same 61 AF system of the 1d X or 5D 3 but with a brand new Sensor and Dual AF, I suspect the AF the next 7D will have will be the one the 1D Xs or 1dX mark II/5D Mark IV will get, I believe the 7D mark II ill be a terrific camera, I wish!
No wifi,no touch.. 70d seems to be much better in that way..
Agreed! I have the first 70D and love these features.
What we need is a good sensor, fps, dual pixel AF, 2 card slots etc etc, we do not need touch screens and wifi, we want decent camera specs, use iphone for the other gimmicky internet stuff… it’s a camera, not a tablet guys !!!
Sad about wifi since new tech is more and more dependent, but not the most important factor, since a 6dII and several new sets of bodies are rumored hope the 7dii will have a better or equal to the 6d (which is growing old but one of my favorite bodies) capacities in low noise at high ISO , improved AF and more cross-type focus points.
Needs GPS, Wifi, Dual SD UHS1, USB 3.

i have a 70D and a 6D. touch screen is fun but it only big miss on a 6D is if the 6D had dual pixel AF for touch tracking so for a 7D mark 2 i’d feel the same.
