At Photokina 2014, Canon’s Chuck Westfall has confirmed to CNET that Canon is working on the replacement of EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Lens. Though the release date for new EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens is not available yet, Chuck Westfall said “It’s definitely on the boards for replacement”.
According to CNET, Canon will release more EF DO lenses in the furture, the new announced EF 400mm f/4 DO IS II USM lens is a great lens, see sample images.
And for Canon Mirrorless cameras, Canon committed to add more EF-M lenses in the furture.
