AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/4G ED VR lens Price, Specs, Release Date, Where to Buy

Nikon has launched the much-rumored Nikkor 70-200mm f/4G ED VR a lighter and more affordable tele-zoom with a claimed 5 stops of image stabilization. This is delivered by what the company terms ‘third-generation VR,’ which we’re told is not a successor to VRII. The lens joins Nikon’s range of constant-F4 lenses, alongside the 16-35mm F4 and 24-120mm F4 and includes both nano crystal coating and a ring-type AF-S motor to give full-time manual focus override.

Nikon 1 V2 Announced, Price, Specs, Release Date, Where to Buy

Nikon has launched the 1 V2 – a more enthusiast-focused 1-series camera built around a 14MP sensor. The V2 adds a built-in flash and mode dial and more extensive front grip. It can shoot at up to 15 frames per second in combination with its hybrid AF system. It also has a configurable ‘F’ button to give faster access to key camera settings. The V2 uses a processor that lives up to the latest Expeed 3A billing. It also retains the V1’s original list price of $899 with 10-30mm kit zoom. Nikon has also announced an accessory SB-N7 bounce-able Speedlight for the 1 System.

Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/4 VR to be announced on October 24

At the next week’s PhotoPlus Expo on October 24th, 2012, Nikon will announce a new lens – Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/4 ED VR. This lens will most likely be the first Nikkor lens with the next generation VR system. This lens has been rumored for a while and was supposed to be announced back in 2010/2011, not sure what caused the delay – maybe Nikon decided to pull the trigger after the Tokina AT-X 70-200mm f/4 PRO IF FX lens was introduced early this year (not released yet). 7D Mark II to be announced in January, 2013

Rumors surfaced on the web that the new Canon EOS 7D Mark II is coming. It is said to be announced before CP+ in Japan (31 Jan – 3 Feb) and possibly during PMA at CES. Adobe has just announced the Photoshop Elements 11. Photoshop Elements 11 is Adobe’s entry-level image-editing software. This new version  introduces a redesigned UI featuring a brighter background and larger type for greater readability along with easier access to commonly used tools. A new Quick Edit mode offers a simplified interface for beginners, while seasoned users can take advantage of new lens blur filters, tilt-shift, vignetting and contrast editing tools. Samyang 10mm 1:2.8 ED AS UMC CS lens announced

Samyang has announced that it will be showing a protoype of a 10mm 1:2.8 ED AS UMC CS lens at Photokina. With its 15mm-equivalent, 110 degree angle of view, it will be the widest-angle rectilinear prime lens for APS-C/DX format SLRs. As usual for Samyang, focusing will be manual only.
