Canon’s new supertelephoto lens EF 200-400mm f/4L IS lens shown in prototype form at the Photokina 2012 show, includes a built-in 1.4x focal-length extender.
This lens has announced a year and half, but since then, there’s been nary a peep. According to CNET, This super lens is to be launched at the end of 2012.
About the price:
Canon’s Supertelephotos of this class are expensive as well as bulky. Canon’s 400mm f/2.8L II costs $11,500, and the 500mm f/4L II costs $10,500. So guess 200-400mm wouldn’t cheap.
