WOW! I knew the Canon was better than the Nikon, but that is crazy and what’s with the 6D being that touch better than the Mark3 when it’s worth almost double.
Thanks for the comparison 🙂
Sorry to see this test…
I think it´s wrong .. I have both camera´s .
I use the Canon 5dlll for video only. ( Very good)
Canon 5dll at high iso, over 3600,- (Sorry – crap)
In my oppinion the Nikon D600 is the best at high iso..
I don´t understand this test..
I think you are under Canon influence..
Too bad…I had great respekt of your test’s ..
I do not think this test is valid
Canon 5dll* at high iso ( 5Dlll )
This test is misleading everyone. The obvious clue is exposure values are not consistent. Don’t believe this erroneous ISO test example.
Wow… who would have thought that the 6D could outperform the mkiii in an ISO test.
hell no this is wrong!! the d600 doesnt looked like that on ISO 100..
nice try.
hahaha too funny !!..D600 Rocks …get over it !
its ridiculous to compare those cameras with D600…this camera is not meant to be a professional camera….its made for the upper consumer segment. If you wanna compare take the D800. Besides upload the ISO 25600 pictures with exif-data to prove its not fake.
Damn should have bought the Canon 6D instead of the Nikon D600 🙁 if this is true… But how can the 6D be better than the 5DmkIII? And how can it be that in the D600 photo the black is not black it’s more like greyish?
Sebster you can compare the D600 and the 6D they are in the same price range and are meant for the same segment. They are all 3 full frame and I believe that a lot of people will have these 3 in mind when buying a full frame as well as the D800 so to be fair it have been even better if the D800 would have been there as comparison as well.
Come on guys !
Either the D600 has many times the dynamic of the other two (to be grey instead of black)
Either the D600 isn’t worth a cent (I don t have that much noise on my 5 years old D300 @800ISO )
Either the test is completely wrong …
I would love to see the exif data.
If I was a betting man, these are based off of JPEG images and not RAW files. Canon uses NR in their JPEG by default, and Nikon does not. Several other iso tests show little to no difference between the D600, D800, MarkIII, 6D.
According the the DXO scores: the advantage in IQ (dynamic range, color, noise) is clearly Nikon’s less than 6400, and Canon’s when greater than 6400.
Seeing as how I shoot <6400 99% of the time, I am more than happy with the d600's superior IQ. If I shot of candle lit weddings I might lean a different way… but I don't. If you need that much ISO and lowlight autofocus then you need a d3/d4 anyways.
