D810 for little more price is much better. If not D810 then stick with D610. D750 does not sound too interesting.
D810 for “little more” price??!… At least in my opinion 1050€ (in germany: Nikon D810=3200€, Nikon D750=2149€) is not just a little price difference, considering the D750 has very similar specs excluding the sensor.
Why only 6.5 fps ? This is not My D700 successor ! TOO SAD !
Shoot video, if 6.5 is not enough. )
Dear Nikon, why do you insist on getting bodies lighter? we all still appreciate the rigid heavy block of the Legendary D700
More like a D600 series successor , what the D600 should have been. Get this right Nikon or I go back to Canon
Yeah, go back to Canon and their ancient sensor technology, gimped AF (on 6D) or overpriced 5D III. I can’t wait to get rid of my Canon and get my hands on one of these.
Baby
everyone focused on the lower frame rate then said it isn’t the successor of D700 that is fully stupid, what I see is D750 has twice the resolution than D700 and still offers only 0.5fps slower. the expeed4 and 91000dots rgb metering sensor will make its AWB more accurate and still has ISO51200 with the 24mp sensor.
The most important improvement is may not for still photograph, the aperture control,60p full HD recording, twin sd slots and built-in stereo microphone for filming!!!
happy to see that nikon gears get more competitive on this field!
Yes, exactly. Improved in nearly every way compared to the D700 and a slight improvement on the D610. I was hoping for 8FPS but I’m not feeling completely crushed.
Enjoy all your missed shots at a pathetic 6.5fps
lol, “pathetic 6.5 fps”. Yeah man, because 8 fps is super warp speed fast compared to 6.5 fps.
What tosh you write. The D750 was hyped as an action camera. 6.5 FPS is a joke. There’s plenty of tech advances to shift 24MP at 8fps. It’s another deliberately crippled Nikon like the D7100 lousy buffer.
I like how people are saying that it is not bad….”Not Bad”???
This was called an Action camera and now I hear 6.5fps. I hope this is wrong…otherwise more envy for Canon users in action photography..latest 7D is rumored to have 10 fps…hear that Nikon..10 fps…this is bs for Nikon users to be satisfied with 6.5 fps. If this is true, this will fall flat…everyone was waiting on an “affordable’ true action camera after the D700 and D300s…i.e. the D400…now this crap. I am still hoping for 8fps when they announce it officially.
You have every right to be mad…if this is true!
wait, so you are saying that 1.5 frames per second of a difference is so important to you? It almost seems like you are saying that 6.5 fps is slow as hell and 8 fps is super fast.
it is “slow as hell” in 2014 for a camera dubbed as an Action camera…
Comparing fps of a FX to DX is just unfair.
Think I’ll stick with my 610. Was really hoping for a higher frame rate.
Nikon arent going to jepordise D4 sales are they?
Better cal it a D620 and at the price of 5dMKIII.. If these specs are right what a disappointment
Actualy D800/D800E was way too cheep. Now Nikon fights back. Say thank you! 🙂
IF the 6.5FPS is true then Nikon can go to hell. They have deliberately
crippled the camera in an effort to get more money from an expensive
battry grip to get 8FPS. I was really hoping this would be the camera to
upgrade from my D90 but Nikon have failed again.
I will be watching closely the Canon 7DMkII specs…
Bye then.
Beats the pants off the D750 specs
http://www.canonrumors.com/2014/09/canon-eos-7d-mark-ii-specifications-confirmed/
yeah, and it’s also a APS-C sensor. It’s going to be a good camera I am sure but it’s gonna suck IQ wise. Don’t expect any improvement in IQ. (Hint: 70D)
D7100 is an APSC sensor and still great IQ…when the 7D came out, it was a massive game changer and years after it is still a favorite of birders..don’t be a fanboy…call it for what it is…I am a die hard Nikonian..but this is unacceptable. BTW, maybe I might get my fps with the new grip announced recently…that would make me happy!
Happy to see 51 AF points in there; hopefully 7FPS will make to the final specs; That’s more than enough for my use and I’ll happily change to this body after the first batch is gone. Wondering if the ISO, WB and BKT controls are gone to the top dial like the D810? New, improved mirror and shutter system? Rated for 200,000+? I like the improved functionality for video, sounds like aperture adjustment while on Live View and recording. An added battery grip for the EN-EL15 would get you another frame or 2 on the burst?
“Tiltable 3.2-inch RGB monitor”
So not fully articulated then?
Thats one more thing to compain about.
idk but…
Is this camera have a body of D800 or D610?Is it have a 8 fps like D700?
the D700 just went up in price again…sigh
The spec that really tells the story here is that the DX crop mode apparently doesn’t give you a faster frame rate. If you step down from 24 megapixels to 10 megapixels, you should gain some shooting speed. To me, that’s a clear case of Nikon crippling features.
Which is sad, because otherwise I don’t really have any issues with this camera. For $300 more than the list price of the D610, they’re adding a MUCH better AF system, built-in WiFi, a newer processor and a sensor that they claim is their best yet. Overall, it still seems like an enticing package, but you can’t help but feel like they could have pushed it a little faster.
