According to recent rumors from Northlight image, there will be a new EOS-1 series body to be announced in Q2, 2014.
This new pro body will cost you another $2,000 than 1D X. And source also told that the 1D X will get price dropped when this new EOS-1 Body released.
Specs is not available yet, one would expect it to have a large megapixel sensor at least. This camera wouldn’t ship until well into 2014.
