The 2020 R5 already has about 8 stops of IBIS. A gimbal is for walking and vehicles. The launch zoom still fits a 3 kg Ronin. The previous page spent 4.5 kg of RS 4 Pro on that kit.
Canon’s EOS R5 specification is 138.5 × 97.5 × 88.0 mm, about 650 g body-only and 738 g with battery and CFexpress, no body cap. Shop copy adds 5-axis IBIS at about 8 stops with certain RF/EF lenses. 8K is internal (DCI RAW up to 29.97p). HDMI is a micro Type D jack; the same spec says HDMI output of 8K movies is not supported. There is no cooling fan. Canon’s own 8K 30p example from a cold start is on the order of 20 minutes. This is not the Mark II: that body is 746 g with LP-E6P, 8.5-stop IBIS, and a full-size Type A HDMI.
The hybrid zoom Canon sold next to this camera is the RF 24-70mm F2.8 L IS USM at about 900 g, 125.7 mm long, 88.5 mm across. Body plus that lens is 1.64 kg before a plate. DJI’s RS 4 spec lists a 3 kg tested payload, about 1066 g for the gimbal, 12-hour lab runtime when balanced and still, Bluetooth 5.1, and an RSS USB-C camera-control port. That 3 kg box is the one that matches 1.64 kg. The Mark II gimbal page on this site uses RS 5 because DJI printed R5 Mark II + 24-70 as that product’s example. This 2020 body is not on that sentence.
Canon’s R5 Image Stabilizer page recommends Movie digital IS Off on a tripod. A locked gimbal is the same class of support: Digital IS Off, and the lens IS switch Off if the motors should not fight the IBIS. Dual Pixel AF does not need a LiDAR arm for native RF glass.
Micro HDMI on a pan arm is a leverage problem. Do not buy this gimbal to hang an 8K recorder — Canon does not send 8K out that Type D port. Internal 4K (including 119.9p) is the moving-shot file.

RS 3 Mini is the 2 kg Ronin. The R5 kit that belongs here is the 700 g f/4 zoom or a prime, not the 900 g f/2.8 the Overall pick is sized for.
DJI’s RS 3 Mini spec lists a tested payload of 0.4–2 kg, a gimbal of 795 g in portrait or 850 g in landscape including the quick-release plate, 10-hour still-balanced lab runtime, and an RSS USB-C control port. The RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM is about 700 g and 107.3 mm long. Body plus that lens is 1.44 kg — inside 2 kg with a plate, not with a cage and a monitor.
R5 + 24-70 F2.8 is 1.64 kg, which still fits the 2 kg ceiling on paper. The motors and the 88.5 mm barrel are why that combo is the RS 4 job. Mini is the Value pick for the lighter zoom and for RF 50 / 35 primes. It is not the Mark II page’s RS 4 Mini, and it is not a substitute for RS 4 Pro’s 4.5 kg.
