The UK page for the 128GB Wi-Fi model lists 8GB of memory, 128GB of storage, 106.2GB available, and the same MicroSD line. Both pages say the card is sold separately. Neither page prints a UHS bus speed for the slot.

The 1TB Extreme PRO is the faster write inside that cap. SanDisk’s current Extreme PRO microSD datasheet rates the 1TB at up to 250 MB/s read and 170 MB/s write, and the 2TB at up to 250 MB/s read and 150 MB/s write. The same sheet rates the card A2, which it defines as 4,000 read IOPS and 2,000 write IOPS, and U3 plus V30. An older Extreme PRO 1TB page, model SDSQXCD-1T00-GN6MA, prints up to 200 MB/s read and 140 MB/s write. Match the speed line, not only the words Extreme PRO.

The other two cards are slower published classes. Samsung’s PRO Plus datasheet (2024, v2.1) rates 128GB through 1TB at up to 180 MB/s read and 130 MB/s write, Class 10, U3, V30, and A2, and says the 180 MB/s figure used a Samsung reader version 2.0 or 3.0. A version 1.0 reader is listed at up to 160 MB/s. SanDisk’s Ultra page rates the 256GB model SDSQUJQ-256G-GZ6MA at 195 MB/s sequential read and A1, defined as 1,500 read IOPS and 500 write IOPS, and says the 195 MB/s figure is with its QuickFlow reader. One terabyte is inside that line, and it is already several times the free space Samsung prints: 106.2GB on the 128GB tablet and 233.7GB on the 256GB Wi-Fi tablet. V30 is a sustained 30 MB/s video class. The 170 MB/s write is the card’s own peak, measured for the datasheet, not a speed Samsung guarantees from the tablet. SanDisk also says A2 results vary by host device. The tablet page never mentions A2, so this guide does not treat the card as extra RAM or as a promise that games will launch from the slot.

Buy this 1TB when the tile shows the 250 / 170 MB/s line. Skip a 1TB Extreme PRO tile that still says 200 / 140 MB/s if you wanted the current sheet, and skip the 2TB if you do not need the last terabyte: that capacity’s write line is 150 MB/s. The full-size adapter in a retail kit is for a computer reader. The tablet takes the microSD itself.

Check Price on Amazon US, UK, CA, DE →

💎 Best Value

Samsung PRO Plus 512GB View on Amazon

Best For: More room than the tablet’s free storage, short of 1TB

Key Feature: Up to 180 / 130 MB/s · U3 · V30 · A2

Rating: 4.5 / 5.0 ★★★★☆

Model

MB-MD512S on the PRO Plus microSD line

Interface

UHS-I

Datasheet speed

Up to 180 MB/s read, up to 130 MB/s write

Class

Class 10, U3, V30, A2

Size

15 × 11 × 1 mm, about 0.25 g for the card

Why it fits the Galaxy Tab S10 FE. Five hundred twelve gigabytes is more than the 233.7GB Samsung lists as available on the 256GB Wi-Fi tablet, and far more than the 106.2GB on the 128GB model. The PRO Plus sheet gives this capacity the same speed line as the 128GB, 256GB, and 1TB cards in that lineup: up to 180 MB/s read and 130 MB/s write, with U3 and V30. Samsung says that 180 MB/s result used its own reader, version 2.0 or 3.0. The same note lists up to 160 MB/s with reader version 1.0, and says a host that is not UHS-I will be slower still. The Tab S10 FE page does not say which of those the slot is.

Samsung’s UK card page limits the warranty story as well: a limited 10-year warranty, and it does not extend to dashcams, CCTV, or other write-intensive use. That exclusion is about the card, not about storing photos from the tablet. No US dollar was confirmed for this 512GB card, so the “value” is the capacity and the published 130 MB/s write against the Ultra’s missing write line, not a sale price.

Check Price on Amazon US, UK, CA, DE →

💰 Budget Pick

SanDisk Ultra 256GB View on Amazon

Best For: Files that do not need a V30 write class

Key Feature: 195 MB/s read on the 256GB line · A1 · UHS-I

Rating: 4.2 / 5.0 ★★★★☆

Model

SDSQUJQ-256G-GZ6MA

Interface

UHS-I microSDXC

Read

195 MB/s sequential read, for 128GB through 1.5TB on this page

Write

Not printed on that spec block

Class

A1: 1,500 read IOPS and 500 write IOPS

Why it can go in the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, and where it stops. Two hundred fifty-six gigabytes fits the 2TB slot and is close to the 233.7GB of free space on the 256GB tablet, so it roughly doubles that model and more than doubles the 128GB model’s 106.2GB. SanDisk rates this Ultra line A1 and says the 195 MB/s read, for 128GB through 1.5TB, is the transfer speed with its QuickFlow reader. The tablet is not that reader. A card marked above 2TB is outside the number Samsung prints for this tablet.

Check Price on Amazon US, UK, CA, DE →

Frequently Asked Questions

Why the slot stops at 2TB

Samsung’s Tab S10 FE pages list external storage as MicroSD up to 2TB, and they say the card is sold separately. The 128GB Wi-Fi page and the 256GB Wi-Fi page use that same external line. A cellular configuration should show the same external-storage line before you treat it as identical. The card does not add the 8GB or 12GB of memory those pages list. That figure is RAM.

Whether 250 MB/s is the speed inside the tablet

No page from Samsung prints a megabyte-per-second rate for this slot. SanDisk’s 250 / 170 MB/s line is the card datasheet. Samsung’s 180 MB/s line was measured with a Samsung reader, version 2.0 or 3.0, and the same note says a host that is not UHS-I is slower. The Ultra’s 195 MB/s read is tied to SanDisk’s QuickFlow reader. Use the class marks, U3 and V30 against A1, when the slot speed itself is unpublished.

What A2 changes on this tablet

SanDisk defines A2 as 4,000 read IOPS and 2,000 write IOPS, and says results vary by host device. Samsung’s PRO Plus note says the same kind of thing: performances may vary by host. The Tab S10 FE specification does not mention Application Performance Class. A2 is a reason to separate these cards from the Ultra’s A1 rating. It is not a promise that apps move onto the card.

Why two Extreme PRO 1TB cards are not the same

The current datasheet rates 1TB at up to 250 MB/s read and 170 MB/s write. SanDisk’s older 1TB page for SDSQXCD-1T00-GN6MA rates that card at up to 200 MB/s read and 140 MB/s write. Both can be sold under the Extreme PRO name. Read the speed line on the tile.

What the adapter in the package is for

The tablet slot is microSD. A full-size SD adapter is for a computer or a camera that takes SD, not for the Tab S10 FE. Samsung’s available-storage figures, 106.2GB and 233.7GB, are the internal drive after software, not the card.

Final Verdict

      🏆 Best Overall:

SanDisk Extreme PRO 1TB – up to 250 / 170 MB/s on the current sheet, with U3 and V30.

      Buy Now

      💎 Best Value:

Samsung PRO Plus 512GB – up to 180 / 130 MB/s, and more than the tablet’s free internal space.

      Buy Now

      💰 Budget Pick:

SanDisk Ultra 256GB – A1, with 195 MB/s read printed and no write speed on that block.

      Buy Now

The SanDisk Extreme PRO 1TB is the card inside Samsung’s 2TB slot limit whose current datasheet prints up to 250 MB/s read, 170 MB/s write, U3, and V30.
