Hisense’s U.S. 65U7N specification sheet: audio output 40 W, Dolby Atmos yes, HDMI eARC & CEC yes, one optical digital output, four HDMI (two up to 4K@144 Hz), VRR 48–144 Hz, ALLM, FreeSync Premium Pro. The current U.S. U7 page for 65U75QG still calls the built-in set 2.1.2 Multi-Channel Surround — left/right, a TV subwoofer, two up-firing drivers — under a MiniLED Pro panel listed up to 3,000 nits and 165 Hz Game Mode Ultra. That is a TV speaker layout, not a 5.1 living-room kit.
- The handshake is eARC, not a brand-locked duet mode. Same U7N sheet: eARC and CEC. Optical is the fallback. Samsung’s HW-Q800F footnote limits Q-Symphony to 2022–2025 Samsung TVs (not The Serif / The Sero). A Hisense U7 will pass Atmos over eARC. It will not run Q-Symphony. Hisense’s own AX5125H sheet lists EzPlay and Roku TV Ready, not a U7N Hi-Concerto guarantee.

Why it fits a U7. The U7N sheet is 40 W and Atmos-in-the-TV. The U75QG page is 2.1.2 up-firing TV speakers under a 3,000-nit Mini-LED. Arc Ultra is the current Sonos eARC bar: 75 mm tall, cable in the box, no Q-Symphony clause. Speech Enhancement and Night Sound live in the Sonos app. A Sub or Era 300 pair is optional later — it is not required to beat the TV’s 40 W pack.

Why it is Value. The last U7 draft sold the 2024 Q800D and leaned on “Q-Symphony if you had a Samsung.” This TV is a Hisense. Q800F still gives a 5.1.2 bar and a wireless sub over one eARC cable, plus SpaceFit Sound Pro on the Samsung side. Leave Q-Symphony off. Game Pro is a sound mode, not a 165 Hz HDMI feature.

Why it is Budget, not Overall. Same-brand does not unlock a secret U7 audio bus. The sheet is eARC, EzPlay, and Roku TV Ready. U.S. U7N owners have been told Hi-Concerto (TV speakers plus bar at once) is not a supported U7N feature. Buy this for the rear sats and the included HDMI cable. Buy Arc Ultra when the job is one bar and a current Atmos decoder.

The original Sonos Arc is last year’s bar. The Q990D is the four-box kit from the U8 page. Both work on eARC. Neither is the U7 Overall.

Whether Q-Symphony works on a Hisense U7
Samsung’s Q800F footnote limits Q-Symphony to 2022–2025 Samsung TVs. A U7 passes Atmos over HDMI eARC. It does not join the TV’s 40 W or 2.1.2 pack to the bar the Samsung way. Use eARC and CEC.
Which HDMI jack on the U7 is the soundbar jack
Hisense’s U7N sheet lists HDMI eARC & CEC as yes, plus a separate optical output. On U7Q / U7NQ family sheets the eARC pin is HDMI 3. Plug the bar into the jack marked eARC, then set the TV digital audio output to the external system. Optical is the fallback if a bar has no HDMI.
Whether AX5125H plus a U7N gets Hi-Concerto
The AX5125H sheet lists EzPlay and Roku TV Ready. It does not list Hi-Concerto as a U7N feature. Treat the kit as eARC 5.1.2 with wireless rears. Do not buy it to keep the TV speakers running in concert.
Why Q990D is not on the Top 3
The U8 soundbar page already uses HW-Q990D as Overall. A U7 is the mid Mini-LED: 40 W on the U7N sheet, 2.1.2 on the U75QG page. eARC does not require an 11.1.4 four-box kit to leave the TV speakers.
