The Canon EOS R6 (2020) is a 20.1 MP full-frame hybrid with 5-axis IBIS, a vari-angle 3.0-inch monitor, and dual UHS-II SD slots. Body-with-battery is about 680 g. The RF 24–105mm F4 L IS USM that Canon used for the 8-stop CIPA rating adds 700 g, so the usual travel kit is ~1.4 kg on…
The Hasselblad X2D II 100C is 148.5 × 106 × 75 mm and 840 g with a battery — not a full-frame cube, and not the 2022 X2D 100C (that body was 74.5 mm deep and 60 g heavier without a cell). Size the bag to the lens you leave mounted. The II kit zoom,…
The Hasselblad X2D II 100C is not a grip camera, and it is not the 2022 X2D 100C. One 7.27 V / 3400 mAh cell in the box, CIPA 327 frames (466 if preview is Hold and HDR is off), USB-C that is also the 10 Gbit/s dump port, and still no video. The first…
The R50 V is a 370 g video body with no IBIS and two 1/4-20 sockets. Peak Design aluminum Travel Tripod is Overall. Manfrotto Befree Advanced is Value. K&F S210 is Budget. Carbon and Gitzo are skip-as-new on this camera.
The Peak Design Travel Tripod is a masterclass in space-saving engineering, but its integrated ball head can feel a bit restrictive for photographers who need dedicated panning or specialized tension control. By adding the Peak Design Universal Head Adapter, you unlock a world of professional-grade stability. After testing dozens of configurations, I’ve found that the…
If you own the Peak Design Travel Tripod, you already know about the clever mobile mount hidden inside the center column. It’s a lifesaver in a pinch, but for serious mobile photography or vertical content creation, it’s frankly a bit fiddly and lacks a cold shoe for mics or lights. I’ve spent months testing alternatives…
The Peak Design Travel Tripod is a masterpiece of engineering, but its hidden smartphone mount often feels like an afterthought for serious mobile creators. While the stock mount works in a pinch, you need a dedicated adapter that matches the tripod’s premium build and native Arca-Swiss compatibility. After testing dozens of mobile rigs in the…
The Peak Design Travel Tripod is a masterpiece of space-saving engineering, but its unique, ultra-slim ball head can be finicky with third-party hardware. While it claims Arca-Swiss compatibility, I’ve found that many “standard” plates are simply too chunky or lack the safety-pin grooves required for a secure lock. To save you from the heartbreak of…
The Peak Design Travel Tripod is a masterpiece of engineering, but its hidden mobile mount—towed inside the center column—is more of a “just-in-case” tool than a primary rig. If you are serious about mobile long exposures or vlogging, you need a dedicated mount that matches the tripod’s premium build. I have tested dozens of mounts…
