The Hasselblad X2D II 100C is not a grip camera, and it is not the 2022 X2D 100C. One 7.27 V / 3400 mAh cell in the box, CIPA 327 frames (466 if preview is Hold and HDR is off), USB-C that is also the 10 Gbit/s dump port, and still no video. The first…
Mounting a Hasselblad H6D or a classic 500C/M on a standard ball head often results in the “slow sink” of death, where the weight of the medium format glass causes the frame to drift during long exposures. After field-testing fifteen high-capacity heads across the rugged terrain of the Pacific Northwest and controlled studio environments, I’ve…
Nothing kills the momentum of a studio session like discovering a light leak or overlapping frames on a roll of Portra that cost you thirty dollars to buy and develop. For Hasselblad V-System shooters, the film back is the most critical mechanical link in the chain, yet it is often the most overlooked. After running…
Unlocking the legendary rendering of Hasselblad V-mount Zeiss glass on a modern Fujifilm GFX sensor is the ultimate dream for many medium format photographers, but a loose adapter or a subtle light leak during a long exposure can ruin a professional shoot in seconds. I’ve spent the last three months mounting heavy 80mm Planars and…
The Hasselblad X2D 100C is a medium-format masterpiece, but its 100MP sensor generates massive RAW files that demand serious storage speed. After testing several high-speed modules in real-world landscape and…
Owning a Hasselblad X2D 100C means you are chasing ultimate image quality, but that 100-megapixel back-illuminated sensor is incredibly unforgiving. Even the slightest micro-vibration can soften your high-resolution files, rendering your expensive glass useless. Finding a tripod that balances the X2D’s portability with rock-solid stability is a challenge. After testing various setups, I’ve found the…
Owning a Hasselblad X2D 100C is a statement, but carrying nearly 900g of medium-format excellence requires more than a flimsy kit strap. The challenge lies in balancing the camera’s weight with its premium aesthetic while ensuring the 100MP sensor stays secure. After testing various setups in the field, I’ve found that the Peak Design Slide…
