Best Accessories for Canon EOS Rebel T7
The Canon EOS Rebel T7 (EOS 2000D / Kiss X90; the same instruction manual also covers EOS 1500D) is a 24.1 MP APS-C DSLR that charges the LP-E10 on the LC-E10 in the carton — Mini-USB is Hi-Speed data, not a power-bank inlet. CIPA is about 500 shots through the pentamirror and about 240 in Live View. The second official cell is the accessory that matches this body: the Canon Battery Pack LP-E10. An LP-E17 is a T8i / R50.

How We Picked
Three official facts. This is the LP-E10 pentamirror Rebel, not the LP-E17 R50 V and not the UHS-II EOS R10.
- Weigh the body, then the ports. Canon US EOS Rebel T7 specifications: approx. 24.10 MP, 129.0 × 101.3 × 77.6 mm, 427 g body only / 475 g with battery and card. Canon UK / Europe 2000D: DIGIC 4+, EF/EF-S (not EF-M, not RF), pentamirror ~95% / 0.80×, 9 AF points with a center f/5.6 cross, max approx. 3 fps (~150 JPEG / 11 RAW on Canon’s test), Full HD 1920 × 1080 at 30/25/24 fps — no 4K. 3.0-inch TFT ~920k, not touch, not vari-angle. Built-in flash GN 9.2 (ISO 100, m), X-sync 1/200. Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n, 2.4 GHz) and NFC. Digital terminal: Hi-Speed USB equivalent for computer, PictBridge, Connect Station CS100, GPS Receiver GP-E2 — charging is not on that list. HDMI mini (Type-C). Remote control terminal: Remote Switch RS-60E3. Recording media: SD / SDHC / SDXC, compatible with SD Speed Class, not compatible with UHS Speed Class.
- Read the carton and the accessory list, not an R50 shopping tab. Canon Canada what’s in the box and the instruction manual: Battery Pack LP-E10, Battery Charger LC-E10 or LC-E10E, Eyecup Ef, Wide Strap EW-400. No memory card, no interface cable, no HDMI cable. Official accessories: RS-60E3; Timer Remote TC-80N3 via adapter RA-E3; Speedlites 270EX II, 430EX III-RT, 600EX II-RT and the EX-series footnote; Hand Strap E2; GP-E2; HDMI Cable HTC-100; Interface Cable IFC-400PCU (1.3 m / 4.3 ft). Manual on movies: “Sound will be recorded by the camera’s built-in microphone… An external microphone cannot be used.” RS-60E3 “comes with an approx. 60 cm / 2.0 ft cord” and presses halfway and fully. Canon UK footnote 3: cameras manufactured before September 2020 are not equipped with an X-contact — Speedlites other than the EX-series, or non-Canon flash units, cannot be used.
- Power is the LC-E10 wall, not USB-C PD. Canon’s LP-E10 sheet (Japan FAQ 93583): lithium-ion, DC 7.4 V, 860 mAh, about 45 g without the cover, about 2 hours on LC-E10 at room temperature (up to ~4 hours at 6–10 °C). SDS watt-hour rating 6.36 Wh. Spec chart / manual CIPA, 50% flash: viewfinder about 500 shots at 23 °C / 410 at 0 °C; Live View about 240 / 230. Movie shooting time about 1 hr 30 min at 23 °C. AC is Compact Power Adapter CA-PS700 + DC coupler DR-E10, not a USB-C brick. Full HD is 46 Mbps / 340 MB/min with a 4 GB or 29:59 clip stop — Class 6 movies, Class 10 in practice. That card story lives on the T7 memory-card URL, not on a V90 R10 list.

Canon Battery Pack LP-E10 View on Amazon View on B&H
| SKU | LP-E10 · Canon 5108B001 / US BATTLPE10 |
|---|---|
| Cell | 7.4 V · 860 mAh · ~45 g · 6.36 Wh |
| Charge | LC-E10 / LC-E10E only · ~2 h at 23 °C · charger is in the T7 box |
| CIPA (Canon chart) | OVF ~500 (23 °C, 50% flash) · Live View ~240 · movie ~1 h 30 min |
| Will not fit | LP-E17 bodies: T8i, SL3, R50, R10, R100 |
Why it fits the T7. This body is not an R50. R50 sips LP-E17 from USB-C in the camera. The T7’s Mini-USB list is computer, PictBridge, Connect Station, GP-E2. The spare that matches 240 Live View shots and a 90-minute movie row is another LP-E10 on the LC-E10 you already own. One pack in the camera, one on the prongs. Canon’s own charger warning: do not charge anything but LP-E10 on LC-E10. A “universal Rebel” LP-E17 will not even slide into this door.
Skip this if you already keep two genuine LP-E10 packs from a T6 / T5 / 1100D bag. Skip dummy-battery USB kits as the default travel buy — Canon’s AC path is CA-PS700 + DR-E10. Skip a second LC-E10 unless the original charger is missing; the kit already includes one.
- Same 860 mAh cell Canon ships and lists for T7 / 2000D / Kiss X90
- LC-E10 is already in the carton; Mini-USB will not refill the pack
- CIPA 500 / 240 is why a spare exists on a Live View or movie day
- ~2 hours on the wall charger; no in-body USB-C
- Does not cross over to LP-E17 Rebels or RF bodies

Canon Remote Switch RS-60E3 View on Amazon View on B&H
| SKU | RS-60E3 · Canon 2469A002 class |
|---|---|
| Cord | Approx. 60 cm / 2.0 ft (Canon manual) |
| Jack | E3 remote-control terminal on the T7 |
| Timer | TC-80N3 only with Remote Controller Adapter RA-E3 |
| Will not pair | BR-E1 — Bluetooth remote for T8i / R50 / R100 |
Why it fits the T7. Canon’s accessory row for this camera is RS-60E3, not BR-E1. The body has Wi-Fi and NFC. It does not list Bluetooth. R50 skipped the E3 jack and lives on BR-E1; this Rebel kept the 2.5 mm terminal and the 60 cm switch that half-presses like the shutter. That is the bulb / tripod / group-photo tool that matches the spec sheet. Self-timer 2 s / 10 s is already in the drive menu if you never buy a cord.
Skip this if you only ever fire from the Camera Connect app over Wi-Fi and can live with that lag. Skip BR-E1 as a “Canon remote” for this body — it needs Bluetooth this camera does not ship. Skip RC-6 infrared unless you have confirmed an IR receiver; Canon’s T7 remote line is the wired E3 switch.
- Named on Canon’s T7 / 2000D accessory list
- Half-press AF plus full press; ~60 cm is enough at a travel tripod
- No Bluetooth pairing screen on a body that has none
- Wired only — you stay 60 cm from the camera
- Intervalometer duty needs TC-80N3 + RA-E3, not this switch alone

SanDisk Extreme 128GB SDXC UHS-I View on Amazon View on B&H

| Movie | 46 Mbps Full HD · Class 6 floor · 4 GB / 29:59 clip stop |
| This site | Overall on Best Memory Card for Canon EOS Rebel T7 |
Why it is Budget here, Overall on the card page. The T7 never shipped a card. Canon’s spec is SD Speed Class, not UHS Speed Class. Full HD is 46 Mbps — about 6 MB/s — against a Class 10 floor. Extreme UHS-I 128GB is that Class 10 stick with a reader dump the Mini-USB port will not match. It is Budget on this accessories list because the body-specific buys are the LP-E10 and the E3 switch. It is not Extreme PRO UHS-II V90. That SKU is the R10: a second row of pins this DIGIC 4+ slot does not clock.
Skip this if you already formatted a Class 10 / U1 128GB in this camera. Skip microSD-in-an-adapter as the only media. Skip MMC (Canon: card error). Capacity and Ultra 64GB / 128GB rows are on the card URL, not duplicated here.
- Fills the empty slot Canon left in the carton
- Class 10 matches 46 Mbps MOV without a V90 receipt
- 128 GB is the default size on the dedicated T7 card page
- V30 write is unused in this body
- Offload is a USB reader; camera USB is Hi-Speed only

Canon Speedlite 430EX III-RT View on Amazon View on B&H
| This site | Overall on Best External Flash for Canon EOS Rebel T7 |
|---|---|
| Canon 2000D list | 270EX II · 430EX III-RT · 600EX II-RT · EX-series footnote |
| Built-in to beat | GN 9.2 (ISO 100, m) · recycle ~2 s · coverage ~17 mm |
| X-contact | Canon UK: bodies before September 2020 may lack the X-contact; non-EX / non-Canon guns can fail to fire |
The pop-up is GN 9.2. Canon’s own flash row for this Rebel is EX-series Speedlites, with 430EX III-RT as the current mid-size name on that list (270EX II is the small discontinued one). Pre-September 2020 T7 bodies can omit the center X-contact — that is Canon’s footnote, not a third-party rumor. Buy an EX-series gun, or a unit that speaks E-TTL on the remaining pins. Do not assume a vintage center-pin-only manual flash will fire. HSS, radio slaves, and Godox SKUs belong on the flash URL, not as this kit’s Overall.
Skip this if the built-in flash and a bounce wall already cover family JPEGs. Skip a 600EX II-RT as the default T7 light — it is on the list, and it outweighs a 475 g body.

Canon BR-E1 View on Amazon View on B&H
| What it is | Bluetooth wireless remote for LP-E17 bodies that list BR-E1 (T8i, R50, R100…) |
|---|---|
| T7 radio | Wi-Fi + NFC. Bluetooth is not on the 2000D spec sheet. |
| T7 remote row | RS-60E3, or TC-80N3 via RA-E3 |
BR-E1 shows up next to every recent Canon that has Bluetooth. This Rebel does not. Pairing it is not how you stand in your own group photo on a T7 — that is the E3 cord, the 10-second self-timer, or Camera Connect over Wi-Fi. Keep a BR-E1 if it already lives with an R50. Do not buy one for this body.
Skip this if the camera in the bag is a Rebel T7. That is RS-60E3.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why LP-E10 is Overall instead of LP-E17
Canon’s power source for T7 / 2000D is Battery Pack LP-E10. LP-E17 is T8i, SL3, R50, R10, R100. The cells do not swap. Mini-USB on this body is Hi-Speed data (computer, PictBridge, GP-E2, Connect Station), not in-camera charging. CIPA is about 500 viewfinder shots and about 240 Live View. A second LP-E10 on the LC-E10 already in the box is the kit. R50’s USB-C top-up does not exist here.
Whether BR-E1 works on the Rebel T7
Canon’s accessory list names Remote Switch RS-60E3. The spec lists a remote-control terminal for that switch. Wireless LAN is Wi-Fi + NFC. Bluetooth — and BR-E1 — are T8i / R50. The manual’s RS-60E3 cord is about 60 cm / 2.0 ft and half-presses like the shutter.
Why a 3.5 mm shotgun is skip on this body
The instruction manual, movie section: sound is the built-in monaural microphone, recording level adjustable, wind filter provided. “An external microphone cannot be used.” There is no 3.5 mm mic jack. A shoe-mount shotgun that expects plug-in power from the camera has nowhere to plug in. T8i and R50 have that jack; this Rebel does not. Built-in mono, or a recorder that does not need the camera’s mic terminal.
What card the T7 slot actually uses
Canon: SD / SDHC / SDXC, compatible with SD Speed Class, not compatible with UHS Speed Class. The manual: UHS-I cards work, at Class 10 at most. Movies want Class 6 or higher. Full HD is 46 Mbps. No card ships in the box. Extreme UHS-I 128GB is the default on the T7 card page. UHS-II V90 is the R10.
Whether Mini-USB charges the LP-E10
No. Charge is Battery Charger LC-E10 or LC-E10E (~2 hours at 23 °C). Mains shooting is CA-PS700 + DR-E10. The digital terminal’s published jobs are computer communication, direct printing, GP-E2, and Connect Station. Pull the SD card to dump files; Hi-Speed USB is not a 10 Gbps workaround, which is also why a tripod plate that blocks the battery / SD door matters on the T7 tripod page.
Final Verdict
The Rebel T7 is 475 g with an LP-E10, a pentamirror, 1080p, Wi-Fi/NFC, and one SD door that is not UHS. Buy a second LP-E10. Add the RS-60E3 if you use a tripod. Fill the empty slot with Extreme UHS-I 128GB. Leave LP-E17, BR-E1, 3.5 mm camera mics, RF-S glass, and V90 cards on the T8i / R50 / R10 lists.
