Best Solar Panel for eufy Cameras
eufy battery cameras take a 5V USB trickle, not a camping blanket. The current US certified add-on names eufyCam S3 Pro, SoloCam S340, eufyCam 2 / 2 Pro / 2C / 2C Pro, eufyCam S330, and SoloCam S230 — and it tells you a non-certified panel may damage the pack. The panel that matches that list is the eufy Solar Panel (3W).

How We Picked
Three official facts. This is a 5V eufyCam trickle, not the 50W camping charger roundup.
- Read the certified-panel sentence, then the 2.6W spec sheet. eufy US on the Solar Panel (3W): it provides continuous charging for eufyCam S3 Pro, SoloCam S340, eufyCam 2, 2 Pro, 2C, 2C Pro, eufyCam S330, and SoloCam S230. “Only certified eufy Security solar panels can sync with eufyCam to ensure correct power management. Non-certified solar panels may damage the eufyCam battery.” The older Solar Panel Charger sheet (T8700) publishes the numbers that page still owns: 2.6 W, 5V/520 mA Max, monocrystalline >23%, ETFE, IP65, 315 g, 186.0 × 115.8 × 25.5 mm, Micro-USB 13 ft (4 m), four camera adapters, 12-month warranty, operating −20°C to 60°C, camera charge window 0°C to 45°C.
- Built-in SolarPlus is a camera SKU, not a panel SKU. eufyCam S3 Pro: SolarPlus 2.0 built-in, external panel supported, 13,000 mAh pack, “1 hour” of sun in the marketing row, footnote 4: collect 450 to 900 mAh/day vs 100 to 200 mAh average use. eufyCam S330 (eufyCam 3): SolarPlus 1.0, external panel not in the box, “2 hours” of direct sun, footnote: 600 to 800 mAh/day. Same comparison table: eufyCam 3C has no built-in panel. SoloCam S340: removable 2.2W panel, 2 hours of sun, 3 months standalone (300 seconds/day). SoloCam S230: 2 hours, collect 600 to 800 mAh vs 150 to 202 mAh use. A porch soffit is why T8705 exists on cameras that already have a cell on the body.
- One camera, one panel, and the app switch. eufy Solar Panel Charger FAQ: 13 ft cable; output 5V, up to 500 mA depending on sunlight; one panel per camera (no Y-splitter, no one panel for two cams); extension no longer than 2.5 m (8 ft) and impedance under 0.21 Ω/m; do not mount inside a window; Indoor Cam 2K/1080P Pan & Tilt is a no; Video Doorbell is a no; set Camera Settings → Power Manager → Power Source → Solar Panel. SoloCam install: south-facing in the Northern Hemisphere (north in the Southern) at about 30°, panel and camera within 13 ft, use the waterproof gasket. Same note: SoloCam S40, L20, and L40 are not compatible.

| SKU | T8705 / T8705011 — eufy US |
|---|---|
| Rated power | 3W |
| US compatibility | S3 Pro, SoloCam S340, eufyCam 2 / 2 Pro / 2C / 2C Pro, S330, SoloCam S230 |
| Mount | 360-degree bracket and wall anchors |
| Certification line | Certified eufy Security panel; non-certified may damage the battery |
Why it fits eufy cameras. The 2-series still wants a hang-off panel because there is no cell on the body. S3 Pro and S340 already have SolarPlus, but eufy’s own comparison marks an external panel as the backup when the body cell sits under an eave. S330’s box does not include that backup; T8705 is the SKU eufy names for it. 3W is the current US accessory, not a 50W folding charger and not the 2.2W puck that ships on S340. The 360° bracket is how you point the cell at the sun while the camera points at the driveway. Quick Start Guide model line is T8705 (Anker Innovations).
Skip this if the camera is a 2 / 2C on Micro-USB and you already own the 13 ft T8700 kit with the matching gasket. That is Value. Skip it for Indoor Cam and Video Doorbell — eufy’s FAQ already refused those. Skip SoloCam S40 / L20 / L40.
- US list includes S3 Pro, S330, S340, S230, and 2-series
- Certified power-management sentence on the product page
- 360° wall bracket so the cell and the lens can disagree
- 2-series Micro-USB bodies still need the correct adapter and cover
- One panel still charges one camera

eufy Solar Panel Charger 2.6W View on Amazon View on B&H
| SKU | T8700 — eufy EU product / spec sheet |
|---|---|
| Power / output | 2.6W · 5V/520 mA Max |
| Cable | 13 ft (4 m) Micro-USB, permanently attached |
| Weather / size | IP65 · 315 g · 186.0 × 115.8 × 25.5 mm |
| In the box | Panel, 13 ft cable, 360° bracket, screws, 4 camera adapters, QSG |
Why it is Value. Most eufy cameras still on walls are 2 / 2C / E. Those ports are Micro-USB, and T8700 was cut for them: four silica-gel adapters, a 13 ft lead so the panel can sit on a ridge while the camera sits under the soffit, IP65 on the sheet, 5V/520 mA that matches the FAQ’s “up to 500 mA depending on sunlight.” eufyCam 1 / 2 / 2 Pro wants the screw mount, not the magnetic puck, before the gasket goes on. After the plug is in, the app path is Power Manager → Power Source → Solar Panel. Charging stops outside 0–45°C even if the panel is in sun — that is the camera’s window, not a winter myth.
Skip this if the body is S3 Pro, S330, or S340. Those are on the T8705 list, not this Micro-USB sheet. Skip L20 / L40 / S40. Skip stretching past 13 ft plus a 2.5 m extension — that is eufy’s own cap.
- Published 13 ft run and four gaskets
- IP65 and 2.6W / 5V/520 mA on the official sheet
- Same certified-safe line as the 3W page
- 2.6W, not 3W, and no S3 Pro / S330 / S340 on this SKU’s list
- Cable is fixed; a longer homemade run is capped at +2.5 m

Wasserstein Solar Panel for eufyCam 2C View on Amazon View on B&H
| Maker sheet | Wasserstein 2C manual — not affiliated with Anker |
|---|---|
| Power | 2W 5V |
| Cable / size | 13.1 ft outdoor cable · 7.5 × 6.0 × 1.25 in |
| Fit | eufyCam 2C rubber cap / gasket path in that manual |
Why it is Budget. It is a 5V outdoor panel with a 13.1 ft lead aimed at 2C. That is the same job T8700 does, at 2W instead of 2.6W, without eufy’s certified-sync sentence. Wasserstein prints that it is not affiliated with Anker. The failure mode on this aisle is SKU mix-ups: there is a Wasserstein panel marked for eufyCam E only, and another that says not for 2/2C. Buy the 2C sheet if the camera is a 2C. Open the rubber cap, seat the plug, press the seal — their words, not a lab claim.
Skip this if you want the official gasket set, app solar stats, or a USB-C body (S330 / S3 Pro / S340). eufy’s product line is explicit: non-certified panels may damage the battery. That is why Overall is T8705 and Value is T8700. This row is the 2C.
- 2C-specific 13.1 ft outdoor cable on the maker sheet
- 2W / 5V is the same voltage class as T8700
- Not eufy-certified; 2W vs 2.6W / 3W
- Wrong Wasserstein SKU is a dead 2C

If You Need Something Else
USB-C C-series cameras and bodies that already carry SolarPlus are different jobs from a 2C hang-off kit.
eufy Solar Panel C10 (3W) View on Amazon View on B&H
| UK page | eufy Solar Panel C10 |
|---|---|
| Rated | 3W · IP65 · 2 m (6.5 ft) cable · 360° mount |
| Named cameras | USB-C eufyCam models including C35 and eufyCam C37 |
| Sun line | 2.5 hours of sunlight to keep the camera up |
C10 is the USB-C C-series add-on, not the T8705 S3 Pro / S330 list and not the T8700 Micro-USB kit. If the camera is C35 or C37, start here instead of forcing a 2C gasket onto a USB-C port. If the camera is S330 or S3 Pro in full sun, the built-in cell is the default — T8705 is the shade backup, not a mandatory second purchase. S340 already ships a removable 2.2W panel; T8705 is the extra cell when that puck cannot see sky. A 28W hiking charger from the camping page does not become an eufyCam gasket.
Skip this if the body is eufyCam 2 / 2C. That is T8700.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why the 3W T8705 is Overall instead of the 2.6W T8700
T8705 is the current US accessory that names S3 Pro, S330, S340, S230, and the 2-series on one page, at 3W. T8700’s sheet is 2.6W, 13 ft Micro-USB, and the 2 / 2C / E / SoloCam E20 / E40 list — it does not name S3 Pro or S340. Value is the native 2-series kit. Overall is the certified add-on that covers the USB-C generation eufy is selling now.
Whether a third-party USB panel is the default
eufy’s 3W and 2.6W pages use the same line: only certified eufy Security panels sync for correct power management; non-certified panels may damage the battery. Wasserstein’s 2C manual is 2W / 5V and prints that it is not affiliated with Anker. That is Budget for a 2C, not the default on S330 or S3 Pro.
Whether S330 or S340 still need an add-on
S330: SolarPlus 1.0 on the body, 2 hours of direct sun, 600–800 mAh/day collect; external panel is not in the kit. S340: removable 2.2W panel, 2 hours, 3-month battery footnote. S3 Pro: SolarPlus 2.0 plus an official external-panel yes. Buy T8705 when the body cell sits in shade or the camera is 3C (no built-in panel). Leave the add-on on the shelf if the S330 already holds charge in sun.
What the 13 ft cable and one-panel-per-camera rules are
T8700 FAQ: cable is 13 ft (4 m) and permanently attached; one camera, one panel; no Y-splitter; extension no longer than 2.5 m (8 ft) with impedance under 0.21 Ω/m; south-facing ~30° on the SoloCam page; keep panel and camera within 13 ft. After the gasket is on, set Power Source to Solar Panel. Charging is 0–45°C at the camera.
Whether Indoor Cam or Video Doorbell take this accessory
FAQ: the Solar Panel does not work with Indoor Cam 2K/1080P Pan & Tilt. eufy does not recommend it on Video Doorbell. SoloCam S40, L20, and L40 are not compatible. Cards for cams that still take microSD: Best MicroSD Card for eufyCam.
Final Verdict
For eufy cameras, buy the eufy Solar Panel (3W). Take the 2.6W T8700 when the body is still Micro-USB 2 / 2C / E and the run is 13 ft. Take Wasserstein only as a 2C. One panel per camera. Set Solar Panel in Power Manager. Leave Indoor Cam, doorbells, and S40 / L20 / L40 off this accessory.
