Best Flashes for Fujifilm X-T50
The X-T50 is a 438 g APS-C body with a pop-up flash of GN 3.9 — fill, not a room light. Sync is 1/180 s. Electronic shutter does not fire flash. For bounce and HSS on this shoe, the flash is the Godox V1Pro F. Buy the F foot.

How We Picked These Flashes
- The body: Fujifilm X-T50 (FF240001) is 40.2 MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR, 123.8 × 84.0 × 48.8 mm, 389 g stripped / 438 g with NP-W126S and card. Dedicated TTL hot shoe. X-sync 1/180 s. No PC sync terminal. Manual pop-up flash, GN approx. 3.9 (ISO 100, m) — Super Intelligent Flash for fill. Mechanical shutter 1/4000 s; electronic to 1/180000 s. Fujifilm’s own shutter explainer: flash needs the mechanical shutter. E-front curtain is also a no-flash mode. AUTO FP (HSS) is in the shoe-mount flash menu; the manual warns horizontal bands at some HSS speeds.
- 1/180 is the limiter: X-T5-class bodies sync at 1/250 s. This one does not. Daylight f/1.4 fill is AUTO FP, and HSS eats guide number. Godox marketing “1/8000 s HSS” still stops at the mechanical ceiling on this camera because the electronic shutter will not fire the tube. Set shutter type to Mechanical, not Electronic or a hybrid auto that silently switches.
- Feet and radios: Godox TTL is the F firmware — not C, N, or S. The X-system in the flash is Godox radio, not Fujifilm’s optical commander / EF-W1 radio. They do not share a protocol. EF-60 is native TTL/HSS and a Nissin design; off-camera Fuji radio wants the EF-W1. The pop-up can act as an optical commander in Fuji’s flash menu — that is not Godox 2.4 GHz.
Best Flashes for Fujifilm X-T50: Detailed Reviews
Godox V1Pro F View on Amazon View on B&H
| SKU / ASIN | V1Pro F / V1Pro-F · B0CTHGZ8DL |
|---|---|
| Output | 76 Ws · zoom 28–105 mm · ~5600 K |
| Battery | 7.2 V / 2980 mAh · ~1.3 s to 1/1 · ~500 full-power pops |
| TTL / sync | Fujifilm TTL · HSS · 1st/2nd curtain |
| Wireless | Godox 2.4 GHz X · master in the shoe · ~100 m |
| Weight | ~580 g with battery |
Why it fits the X-T50. GN 3.9 in the pentaprism is not a bounce light. V1Pro F is Fujifilm TTL and AUTO FP in one lithium pack, with a round head and a detachable SU-1 for fill when the main tube is aimed at a ceiling. The X transceiver talks to AD200 / TT685 remotes without an extra X3 occupying the only shoe. 2980 mAh is the recycle the two-AA mini cannot match. Godox’s own copy names X-T50. The cost is mass: 580 g on a 438 g body with a shallow grip. That is the trade for round light. The previous Overall was V1-F (2600 mAh, no SU-1). V1Pro F is that job in 2026. Buy F, not C.
Skip this if the point of the X-T50 was a jacket pocket — TT350F. Skip V1-F listings unless they are clearly cheaper and you already own AK-R1 magnets.
- Round 76 Ws + SU-1 + X-system on a 1/180 body
- Li-ion recycle vs AA minis
- Heavier than the camera
- Godox menus, not EF-W1

Godox TT685II-F View on Amazon View on B&H
| SKU / ASIN | TT685II-F · B09NPWPMXK |
|---|---|
| Guide number | 60 m / 197 ft at ISO 100, 200 mm |
| Zoom | 20–200 mm auto/manual |
| Head | −7° to 120° tilt · 330° swivel |
| Recycle | 0.1–2.6 s · four AAs |
Why it is Value, not Overall. Same Fujifilm TTL, HSS, and 2.4 GHz master/slave as the V1Pro, in a rectangle with TCM (TTL-to-manual lock). 20–200 mm zoom beats the V1’s 105 mm for a tight tele fill. Ni-MH AAs are the recycle story: 2.6 s at 1/1 is why it is not Overall. The old Value pick was V860III-F — lithium rectangle at V1-adjacent money. TT685II-F is the cheaper GN60. Confirm the listing is F.
Skip this if you bounce all night at full power — V1Pro lithium. Skip TT685 (non-II) and any TT685-C.
- GN60 + HSS + X-system for about $120
- 200 mm zoom the round heads lack
- AA recycle at 1/1; tall on a thin grip
- Rectangular falloff vs V1Pro

Godox TT350F View on Amazon View on B&H
| SKU / ASIN | TT350F · B072N56B12 |
|---|---|
| Guide number | 36 m / 118 ft at ISO 100, 105 mm |
| Zoom | 24–105 mm · 14 mm panel |
| Head | −7° to 90° tilt · 270–360° swivel |
| Wireless | Godox X master/slave · ~30 m class |
Why this mini. The X-T50 exists because it is small. TT350F is TTL, HSS, and a radio master that still fits a jacket. Two AAs, 0.1–2.2 s, GN36 — enough to lift shadows on a street walk, not enough to bury sunlight at 1/180 without ISO. It can command bigger Godox lights off-camera so the tiny on-camera unit is only the trigger. Recycle and power are why it is Budget, not Overall.
Skip this if you need ceiling bounce in a tall room — TT685II-F or V1Pro. Skip TT350-C.
- TTL + HSS + radio at X-T50 scale
- Two AAs, ~200 g
- GN36 — not a sunlight hammer
- AA recycle; only two cells

If You Need Something Else
These two are not cheaper V1Pros. One is Fujifilm’s GN60 native. One is a folding retro flash with no HSS.
Fujifilm EF-60 View on Amazon View on B&H
| Guide number | 60 (ISO 100, m) |
|---|---|
| TTL / HSS | Native Fujifilm AUTO FP |
| Radio | Works with EF-W1 commander — not Godox X |
| Design | Nissin-derived compact GN60 |
EF-60 is a real TTL/HSS shoe flash with a smaller outline than V1Pro. It is also a $350+ native SKU whose off-camera radio is Fujifilm’s EF-W1 path, not the Godox lights most people already own. If you already live in EF-60 / EF-X500 / EF-W1, keep it. Do not buy one to “unleash” an X-T50 that already TTL-talks to a $120 TT685II-F.
Skip this if you wanted Godox remotes or a round head. That is V1Pro F.

Godox Lux Senior View on Amazon View on B&H
| Modes | Manual power + optical Auto (front sensor) |
|---|---|
| Not this | Fujifilm TTL · AUTO FP / HSS · X-system |
| Power | USB-C rechargeable · folding reflector |
It looks like the X-T50. It does not TTL with the X-T50, and it does not HSS past 1/180 s. Optical Auto is a selenium-era workaround, not P-TTL. Fine for slow editorial frames on Mechanical shutter. Useless as the event flash this page is for.
Skip this if you needed TTL or daylight HSS. That is every row above.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use flash with the electronic shutter?
No. Fujifilm documents flash with the mechanical shutter. E-front curtain is also a no-flash mode. Hybrid “mechanical + electronic” auto-switching can silently move you into a no-flash regime. Set Mechanical when the tube matters.
Is sync really 1/180 s, not 1/250?
Yes. Fujifilm’s own sync table puts X-T50 with X-T30 / X-S20 at 1/180 s or slower. X-T5 / X-H2 are the 1/250 s bodies. Faster than 1/180 s is AUTO FP on a compatible unit. HSS costs power; bands can show at some speeds.
Will any Godox work if I already own a Canon one?
The tube may fire as a dumb manual flash. Fujifilm TTL and camera-menu HSS need the F foot. Keep the C unit for Canon. Buy F here.
Is the built-in flash enough?
GN 3.9 at ISO 100 is on-axis fill a few feet away. It is not bounce, not HSS sunlight, and not a radio master for Godox. Raise it for snapshots; buy a shoe flash for the rest.
Final Verdict
The X-T50 syncs at 1/180 s, has a GN 3.9 pop-up, and will not fire flash on the electronic shutter. Buy V1Pro F for round-head bounce and Godox remotes. TT685II-F if you want GN60 cheaper. TT350F if the camera must stay small. Skip EF-60 as the default, skip Lux Senior for TTL, and buy the F foot.
