Best Carrying Case for DJI Osmo Pocket 4P
The Osmo Pocket 4P measures 159.5×63.3×33.5 mm and weighs 230 g. The long side is what rejects a short pouch. DJI lists the Osmo Pocket Pro Carrying Bag at 170×80×75 mm and 120 g, and the compatibility line names the 4P. That 170 mm figure is not labeled as the interior. The DJI store price is $25. How We Picked
Three published sizes: the camera, the bag DJI sells for it, and the cases whose listings name the 4P.
- The body size is the fit test. DJI’s Osmo Pocket 4P specs page lists 159.5×63.3×33.5 mm (L×W×H) and 230 g. A case whose longest published side is under 159.5 mm is not treated here as a bag the body slides into. DJI does not label the camera figure as folded or unfolded.
- The official bag is the one whose compatibility line says 4P. DJI’s store lists the Osmo Pocket Pro Carrying Bag at 170×80×75 mm, 120 g, and USD $25, and the compatibility line is Osmo Pocket 4P. The page does not say whether 170 mm is the inside or the outside. A different DJI store page, the Osmo Pocket 4 Carrying Bag, lists 155×75×70 mm and 110 g, and names Osmo Pocket 4 and Osmo Pocket 3.
- The other two sizes come from listings that print a 4P model number. A SmallRig reseller’s technical data for 6642B lists 107.0×235.0×77.0 mm and $21.99. The same shop lists 6582B at 148.0×82.0×51.7 mm and $17.99. SmallRig’s own site names a protective case for the 4P, and a separate storage bag for Pocket 4 and Pocket 3. Those official pages did not show a dollar price. The $21.99 and $17.99 figures are the reseller’s.

| Listed size | 170×80×75 mm (L×W×H). DJI does not label this interior or exterior. |
|---|---|
| Listed weight | 120 g |
| Listed price | USD $25 at the DJI store |
| Compatibility line | Osmo Pocket 4P |
Why it fits the Osmo Pocket 4P. The camera’s longest published side is 159.5 mm, and this bag’s longest published side is 170 mm. That is 10.5 mm on the page, not a measured clearance, because DJI does not say the 170 mm is the opening. What the store does say is that the bag is compatible with the 4P, and that the interior is meant to hold the camera and its accessories. The bag itself is listed at 120 g, against a 230 g camera. The standard combo’s box list includes a pouch. The pages read here do not print that pouch’s size, so this $25 bag is the one with a number.
Buy it when you want the bag on DJI’s 4P compatibility line. Skip the Osmo Pocket 4 Carrying Bag even if the title looks close: that page names Pocket 4 and Pocket 3, and its size is 155×75×70 mm. Also skip assuming the fill light and the 1/4-inch handle from the combo box have a reserved slot. The bag page does not name those parts.

SmallRig 6642B View on Amazon View on B&H
| Product size | 107.0×235.0×77.0 mm, from a SmallRig reseller technical-data block. The inch line on that block is 4.21×9.25×3.03 in. |
|---|---|
| Listed price | $21.99 at that reseller. SmallRig’s own product pages reviewed here showed no dollar price. |
| What a second listing adds | One shop’s 6642 description says the battery handle does not go in, and that the 1/4-inch handle can. It also says the bag is not for Pocket 4 or Pocket 3. |
Why it fits the Osmo Pocket 4P. The long side on the reseller’s size block is 235 mm. The camera is 159.5 mm. That gap is why this bag is in the list, and it is still a published pair of numbers, not a measured interior. The price on that same shop is $21.99, which is $3.01 under the DJI bag’s $25. SmallRig’s own storage-bag page for Pocket 4 and Pocket 3 does not name the 4P. Buy the listing that says 4P or 6642B.
Buy it when you want a longer bag than the 170 mm DJI bag and you have checked the title for 4P. Skip it when the listing only says Pocket 4 or Pocket 3. Skip a battery handle: the note on the second 6642 listing says that handle does not fit. The standard combo’s handle is the 1/4-inch one, which that note says can be stored. This page does not add a weight for the fill light.

SmallRig 6582B View on Amazon View on B&H
| Product size | 148.0×82.0×51.7 mm (5.8×3.2×2.0 in) on the reseller technical-data block |
|---|---|
| Listed price | $17.99 at that reseller |
| What SmallRig’s own page says | A protective case molded for the 4P, with a PC outer shell, a TPU lining, and a tempered-glass screen protector in the kit description on the reseller page |
Why it is on this list. SmallRig’s site describes a case molded for the Osmo Pocket 4P. The reseller lists 6582B at $17.99, which is $7.01 under the DJI bag. The longest side in that size block is 148 mm. The camera’s longest side is 159.5 mm. A 148 mm product is not a bag the 159.5 mm body drops into lengthwise. Treat 6582B as a shell that stays on the camera, plus the screen protector in that kit, not as the travel case.
Buy it when you want a cover on the body and $17.99 is the number you are comparing. Skip it when you need a bag that also holds the cable, the fill light, or the handle. Those parts are not in the 148 mm figure. The DJI bag, at 170 mm on its long side, is the one listed as a carrying bag for the 4P.

If You Need Something Else
Osmo Pocket 4 Carrying Bag View on Amazon View on B&H
DJI’s store lists this bag at 155×75×70 mm and 110 g, and the compatibility lines are Osmo Pocket 4 and Osmo Pocket 3. The 4P is not on that list. The camera is 159.5 mm long, and 155 mm is shorter than that published length. Another retailer’s page for a bag with a similar name prints 195×55×80 mm, so the size is not stable across shops. Use the DJI store line: Pocket 4 and Pocket 3, 155×75×70 mm. That is the bag to leave when the camera is a 4P.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why 159.5 mm decides the case
DJI’s specs page lists the 4P at 159.5×63.3×33.5 mm and 230 g. The long side is the one a bag has to clear. The page does not say whether that length is with the gimbal folded. A case listing under 159.5 mm on every side is not counted here as a bag for the body.
Whether 170 mm is the inside of the DJI bag
DJI prints 170×80×75 mm and 120 g, and does not label the millimeters as interior or exterior. The compatibility line does name the 4P. The $25 price is the DJI store’s USD figure. A 10.5 mm difference between 170 and 159.5 is arithmetic on those two listings, not a measured gap inside the zipper.
Why the Pocket 4 bag is a different product
The Osmo Pocket 4 Carrying Bag page names Pocket 4 and Pocket 3, lists 155×75×70 mm, and lists 110 g. It does not name the 4P. The Osmo Pocket Pro Carrying Bag page names the 4P and lists 170×80×75 mm. The titles are close. The compatibility line is the check.
What 148 mm means on the SmallRig shell
The 6582B technical-data block lists 148.0×82.0×51.7 mm. SmallRig’s own text calls the 4P case a molded shell with a hard outer layer and a softer lining, and the reseller kit mentions a tempered-glass screen protector. The shell can stay on the camera. It is not the 235 mm bag, and it is not the 170 mm DJI bag.
What the standard combo already puts in the box
A DJI store combo list includes the camera, a USB-C cable, a fill light, a wrist strap, a handle with a 1/4-inch thread, and a pouch. That pouch has no size on the pages used here, so it is not one of the three cases. The fill light and the handle are extra pieces. A bag page that does not name them does not prove they fit.
Final Verdict
The Osmo Pocket Pro Carrying Bag is the case DJI lists for the 4P, at 170×80×75 mm, 120 g, and $25, against a camera that is 159.5×63.3×33.5 mm and 230 g. The SmallRig 6642B listing prints 107×235×77 mm and $21.99, so its long side is the one that clears 159.5 mm on paper, and the title has to say 4P rather than Pocket 4 or Pocket 3. The SmallRig 6582B listing prints 148×82×51.7 mm and $17.99; that is a molded shell and a screen-protector kit, and 148 mm is shorter than the camera’s published length. The Osmo Pocket 4 Carrying Bag, at 155×75×70 mm, names Pocket 4 and Pocket 3.
