Tamron Japan has announced the development of 100-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di VC USD lens. This lens will be available for Canon EF mount and Nikon F-mount, currently, there is no info of price and release date of this lens, it will be announced later.
Based on advanced optical design, Model A 035 adopts Tamron’s proprietary “eBAND coating” that demonstrates high anti-reflection performance with 3 special low-density LD (Low Dispersion) lenses. It is a super telephoto zoom lens pursuing high image quality and mobility, such as using magnesium as part of the lens barrel member and achieving 1,115 g of the lightest class * in class. By adopting the high speed control system “Dual MPU” installed in the latest Tamron lens, comfortable AF and effective camera shake correction are realized. Moreover, by using the tripod seat of an optional accessory in addition to usual hand-held photography, it is possible to take a wide range of photographs, including the early morning before sunrise, the evening scenery after sunset, and other situations requiring a tripod. It is also compatible with TAP-in Console TM , which can be customized such as teleconverter capable of further telephoto shooting, focus adjustment, camera shake correction, focus limiter, etc. It is one to greatly expand the possibility of super telephoto shooting.
