Canon today filed a new lens patent for next EF 16-35mm f/2.8L lens. Previous rumors said that Canon will release a new fast wide-angle zoom lens after EF 35mm f/1.4L II released.
According to latest rumors on CR, a new version of current EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens is in working. The EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens was released in 2007.
