Rumors from NR shows that Nikon is going to announce a new compact camera with 16.2 effective megapixels DX-sized CMOS sensor, fixed 28mm f/2.8 (or maybe even f/2.0) lens and EXPEED 2 image processing engine.
NR said this APS-C compact camera is likely to announced this week.
In 2013, Nikon may also announce a new mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras with APS-C sized sensor. Nikon has already filed several patents in the past for DX mirrorless lenses: 18mm f/2.8 lens patent and another patent that describes a 24mm f/2.0 or f/2.8 lens.
And the long waited Nikon D7100 may not coming this week, may be announced before April.
