Nikon has introduced the Nikkor Z 28-400mm F4-8 VR, a versatile superzoom lens for its Z-mount mirrorless cameras. Designed for both photography and video, this lens offers a 14.2x zoom range in a compact package. It features vibration reduction (VR) technology, delivering up to 5.5 stops of stabilization when used with compatible cameras. The lens is dust and drip-resistant, weighs 725g, and will be available from mid-April at a suggested retail price of $1,299. You can pre-order this lens at B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon.

NIKKOR Z 28-400mm f/4-8 Lens to be Announced on March 26
According to latest rumors, Nikon will announce a new all-in-one zoom lens on March 26/27 next week. This new lens is NIKKOR Z 28-400mm f/4.0-8.0 lens. Previous rumors said aperture is f/3.5-6.3.

Update: According to mynavi.jp, Nikon hasn’t stopped the production on Nikon F-mount products.
According to NR, Nikon seems stopped production on all Nikon F-mount products. This means that once current inventory is sold out, F-mount cameras and lenses will be discontinued indefinitely.
The Nikon F-mount has been around since 1959 and has served as the main Nikon lens mount for over 60 years. It has enjoyed tremendous popularity over the decades and developed an intensely loyal following amongst professional and amateur photographers. However, with the rise of mirrorless cameras in recent years, Nikon has shifted focus to the new Z-mount system.
